Judith Pruijssen finished her medical degree (with distinction) in 2018 at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. As a sequel to her bachelor's thesis about the clinical applications of 4D flow MRI in the heart and great vessels, she wrote her master's thesis about its application in aortic dissections. After that, her research interest switched from 4D flow MRI to medical ultrasound. Since march 2019 she is a PhD candidate at the Medical Ultrasound Imaging Centre of the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen. Under the supervision of Rik Hansen she is working on the project entitled “Ultrafast ultrasonic COMpound Push wave imAging and Strain eStimation (Ultra-COMPASS) for personalized stroke risk stratification”, a project focusing on the development and evaluation of new ultrasound techniques to improve stroke risk stratification.
