January, 2014: A grant of the Dutch Technology Foundation (STW) was awarded for the project “3D Ultrafast Functional Ultrasound Imaging for Detection of Tumors in Breast”.
Goal of this project is to enhance the performance Automated Breast Volume Scanning (ABVS) by ultrafast imaging, to improve detection of tumors by acquiring functional information, and to facilitate treatment by ultrasound guiding of the intervention. The project is a collaboration with Siemens Ultrasound and Twente University. The developed techniques will be implemented on a commercial ABVS scanner and evaluated in the clinic.
