July 21, 2015: A Horizon2020 grant was awarded for the project “MRI and Ultrasound Robotic Assisted Biopsies (MURAB)”.
The goal of this project is to guide robotic biopsies by fusion of MRI and ultrasound data in combination with real-time tissue displacement imaging. At Radboudumc, we will develop 3D ultrasound based elasticity quantification and real-time ultrasound guidance of the needles. The project is a collaboration with Siemens NL, KUKA Roboter GmbH, Twente University, Ziekenhuisgroep Twente, Medical University of Vienna, and University of Verona.
