During the annual meeting of the Dutch Physiology Association, Dr. Martijn Maessen received the prestigious Hamburger Award for best Thesis 2017.

The other members of the promotion team were prof. M.T.E. Hopman (promotor), prof. D.H.J. Thijssen (promotor) and Dr. T.M.H. Eijsvogels (co-promotor).
