On Tuesday August 27, 2024 Remy proudly defended his PhD thesis under the title "Advanced echocardiography in childhood cancer survivers, Fingerprinting the heart".
This thesis provides a detailed insight into the prevalence and risk factors for echocardiographic abnormalities, in particular myocardial strain abnormalities, which may be highly sensitive measures for detecting cardiac dysfunction. In addition, this thesis also aims to describe combinations of echocardiographic abnormalities and to provide a first impression of the possible longitudinal implications of abnormal myocardial strain measurements.
We congratulate Remy on this extraordinary achievement!
