Anne Saris
Anne Saris obtained her M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2012. After graduating, Anne started a PhD project at the Medical Ultrasound Imaging Center of the Radboudumc, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She developed novel, non-invasive ultrasound techniques for imaging the blood flow in the carotid artery. In 2019, she obtained her PhD degree on ‘Blood velocity vector imaging in the carotid artery using ultrasound’. Currently, she is appointed as tenure tracker on ‘Flow Imaging’. Together with three PhD candidates, she will focus on the technical development and clinical implementation and evaluation of non-invasive (2D and 3D) ultrasound blood flow imaging. Ultimately, her aim is to add ultrasound-based blood flow imaging to the clinical toolbox for diagnosis, intervention and monitoring of vascular diseases.
