Leon de Jong
PhD Candidate
Leon de Jong studied Technical Medicine at the University of Twente and performed his master internships at various UMC’s and a medical devices manufacturer (UMC, MUMC, UMCU, DEMCON) and graduated on his master thesis “Development and assessment of new image-guided intramyocardial interventions for heart failure patients” at the cardiology department of the UMC Utrecht. Since March 2017 he is a PhD candidate at the Medical Ultrasound Imaging Centre of the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen. He is working with Anton Nikolaev on the MRI and Ultrasound Robotic Assisted Biopsies (MURAB) project which is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
