3D Breast ultrasound elastography

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed type of cancer in women. In 2018, 523,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in Europe and 138,000 women died because of breast cancer. Currently, mammography is the gold standard in breast cancer detection. However, it has reduced sensitivity in women with dense breast. The ultrasound-based automated breast volume scanner (ABVS) was introduced as supplemental screening modality for those women.
