October 27, 2014: For the October 2014 'Battle of the Universities', Rik Hansen from Radiology and Jitske Jansen from Pharmacology and Toxicology worked on a kidney case. Their presentation on improvement of vascular access for dialysis was considered the best solution and they won the battle!
June 1, 2014: Aisha van den Abeelen started in June 2014 as a researcher on a study into the use of 3D ultrasound for breast cancer diagnosis.
April 1, 2014: Gijs Hendriks started as PhD student on the project entitled: “3D ultrasound elastography for detection of tumours in breast”.
January, 2014: A grant of the Dutch Technology Foundation (STW) was awarded for the project “3D Ultrafast Functional Ultrasound Imaging for Detection of Tumors in Breast”.
November, 2013: Stein Fekkes started as a PhD-student on the VICI project entitled: “Ultrafast 3D Ultrasound Imaging: the next level for cardiovascular diagnosis”.
October, 2013: Kaj Gijsbertse started as a PhD-student in the ERC-BioMechTools project of Nico Verdonschot within the Orthopaedics Research Laboratory.
December 01, 2012: Rik Hansen his position changed to Post-Doc on the VICI project entitled: plane wave imaging for fast ultrasound strain imaging
